Support patients 24/7

Patients can access Online Triage and submit health queries, at any time, from your practice website or directly through all web browsers and mobile app.

Delivering accurate care with triage support

With patients sharing relevant, easy to digest information, you can ensure they receive the right advice, in the right format, from the right person – right away.

Clinically designed, with you and your patients in mind

Giving your patients convenient access to alternative forms of support via Online Triage could make all the difference to your ability to provide efficient and collaborative care.

Customisable and easily accessed via a click-through button on your practice website, our triaging system allows patients to complete 75 electronic forms that cover 91 topics, all of which can be used to send relevant information to you. Your patients are able to access vital self-care resources too, including 200 videos that focus on the most popular medicines, conditions and self-help exercises in bite-sized two-minute chunks.

To make sure that everything works the way it should, all forms have been clinically authored, designed and approved by a team of more than 20 GPs who have over 20 years’ experience in creating clinical content. All of the system’s forms and videos have also had input from Dr Sarah Jarvis, MBE, FRGCP (fellowship of the royal college of general practitioners) and Patient.info’s clinical director.

Following recommendations by the BMA, Online Triage has undergone the rigorous process of obtaining the MHRA CE Mark for a stand-alone medical device. This assurance is testament to our principles of providing a clinically robust service to professionals and patients.

Increase efficiency and better manage demand

Relieve pressure by ensuring care is provided in the right place

With patients sending across relevant information, you can deal with many issues remotely and reduce unnecessary appointments.. The red flag system for critical symptoms alerts patients when to quickly seek out urgent care rather than compromising their health waiting for GP appointment.

The ability to customise links helps to relieve strain further by allowing you to signpost patients to providers of your choice – whether they be local services, pharmacies, specialist and acute care, NHS 111 or social prescribing.

Effective 24-hour support for both patients and carers

Funding available to help you transform your services

Transforming your practice may not cost you a thing thanks to General Practice Forward View funding. Available for those looking to implement online consultation systems, it feeds into wider NHS England digital strategies that focus on saving clinical time and helping patients to better navigate care.

You can easily follow the NHS’s preferred procurement process too, since Online Triage is approved on the dynamic purchasing system (DPS) network.
